What Makes LuckyHash Unique

Unlike traditional lotteries that rely on mechanical draws or centralized random number generators, LuckyHash uses the XRP Ledger's hash values to determine winning numbers. This approach ensures complete transparency and eliminates any possibility of manipulation.

How The Lottery Works

Winning Numbers Generation

For each draw, we use the XRP Ledger hash as our source of randomness:

  • Main Numbers: The first 5 characters of the ledger hash
  • Bonus Number: The last character of the ledger hash

Each character can be a hexadecimal value (0-9, A-F), giving 16 possible values for each position.

Why Ledger Hash Makes Results Unpredictable

The XRP Ledger hash is generated through a consensus process involving multiple validators across the network. It's cryptographically impossible to predict or manipulate these hash values because:

  • The hash depends on all transactions included in the ledger
  • Transactions come from thousands of users worldwide
  • The consensus process involves multiple independent validators
  • Even a tiny change in any input would completely alter the resulting hash

This makes the LuckyHash lottery truly random and immune to manipulation, unlike systems where a single entity controls the random number generation.

Draw Timing and Ledger Relationship

When you view a draw's details, you may notice a small time difference between the draw timestamp and the ledger timestamp. This is by design:

  • The draw uses the most recently validated ledger hash at the exact moment the draw is executed
  • The ledger timestamp shows when that ledger was validated by the XRP network
  • The draw timestamp shows when our system completed processing the draw
  • The small difference (typically 5-10 seconds) represents the processing time to retrieve the ledger, calculate winners, and record results

Odds of Winning

The LuckyHash lottery uses hexadecimal characters (0-9, A-F). For the main numbers, the order doesn't matter - you just need to match the same characters that appear in the first 5 positions of the ledger hash, regardless of their position. The bonus number is always the last character of the hash.

Since characters can repeat in the ledger hash, you can also pick the same character multiple times in your entry. For example, if you pick "AA123" and the winning numbers are "A123A", you have 5 matches because both A's count as matches.

For example, if the winning numbers are "A1B2C" + "D" (bonus) and your picks are "CA12B" + "D", you have:

  • 5 matches in the main numbers (A, 1, B, 2, C all match, regardless of position)
  • 1 match in the bonus number (D matches D)
  • This would qualify for the Tier 1 Jackpot (all 5 main numbers + bonus)

This is similar to traditional lotteries where the order of your picks doesn't matter. You just need to have the same set of characters as the winning numbers, regardless of their position. Only the bonus number needs to match exactly.

How to Participate

Option 1: Using the Number Picker with Xaman Wallet

The easiest way to participate is using our number picker and Xaman wallet:

  1. Visit the homepage and use the number picker to select your 5 main numbers and 1 bonus number
  2. Select how many draws you want to participate in (up to 10 draws)
  3. Click "Pay with Xaman" to generate a QR code
  4. Scan the QR code with your Xaman wallet to complete the payment
  5. Your entry will be confirmed once the transaction is validated on the XRP Ledger

Option 2: Manual Transfer

You can also participate by sending XRP directly to the lottery wallet:

  1. Prepare a transaction to the lottery wallet address
  2. In the memo field, enter your 6 characters (5 main numbers + 1 bonus number)
  3. Send the appropriate amount of XRP based on how many draws you want to enter:
    • 1× ticket price: participate in the next draw only
    • 2× ticket price: participate in the current draw plus 1 future draw
    • 3× ticket price: participate in the current draw plus 2 future draws
    • And so on, up to 10 draws maximum

The amount of XRP you send determines how many consecutive draws you'll participate in with your chosen numbers. For example, if the ticket price is 1 XRP and you send 5 XRP, you'll be entered into 5 consecutive draws.

Understanding Transaction Memos

The transaction memo is a crucial part of your lottery entry. It contains your selected numbers and, depending on the method you use, information about the draws you're entering.

Number Picker Memo Format

When using the number picker, your memo will look like this:

ABC21E:2

Where:

  • ABC21 are your 5 main numbers
  • E is your bonus number
  • :2 indicates you're participating in 2 draws

Manual Transfer Memo Format

When sending XRP manually, your memo should simply contain your 6 characters:

ABC21E

Where:

  • ABC21 are your 5 main numbers
  • E is your bonus number

With manual transfers, the number of draws you're entering is determined by the amount of XRP you send (ticket price × number of draws).

Our system automatically processes this information when your transaction is confirmed on the XRP Ledger. Always ensure your memo is correctly formatted to avoid any issues with your entry.

What Are Those Red X's?

Sometimes you might see red X's or question marksin place of numbers in the entries list. These indicate invalid picks:

  • Valid picks must be hexadecimal characters (0-9, A-F)
  • If a player submits a character outside this range (like G, Z, or special characters), it's displayed as a red X or question mark
  • Entries with invalid picks are still processed, but those specific positions won't match any winning numbers

To ensure your entry is valid, always use only hexadecimal characters (0-9, A-F) for your picks.

Prize Distribution

Prize pools are distributed as follows:

  • Tier 1 (Jackpot): 25% of the total prize pool - Accumulates until won, with a portion of each ticket sale added to the pot
  • Tier 2 (5 matches): 24.75% of the total prize pool
  • Tier 3 (4 matches): 20.25% of the total prize pool
  • Tier 4 (3 matches): 20.25% of the total prize pool

If multiple players win in the same tier, the prize for that tier is divided equally among them. All winnings are automatically sent to the XRP address that submitted the winning entry.

If there are no winners in any of the lower tiers (Tier 2, 3, or 4), the unclaimed prize money is added to the jackpot pot. This is in addition to the regular percentage from each ticket sale that goes to the jackpot, helping it grow faster when there are fewer winners.

Transparency and Security

Every aspect of LuckyHash is designed for maximum transparency:

  • All transactions are recorded on the public XRP Ledger
  • Winning numbers are derived from public ledger hashes
  • Draw results, entries, and winners are publicly viewable
  • The lottery code operates automatically without human intervention

After each draw, the jackpot contribution and unclaimed tier prizes are automatically transferred to the jackpot wallet for security reasons. This separation provides an additional layer of protection for the accumulated jackpot.

While lower tier winnings (Tier 2, 3, and 4) are automatically processed and sent to winners immediately after each draw, jackpot (Tier 1) payments are handled manually with additional verification to ensure security for these larger amounts. This manual processing helps prevent errors and provides an extra level of oversight for significant payouts.
